Kayla Moncayo is an HR Executive with over a decade of experience in full cycle HR. Kayla has worked for the government, big tech, start-ups, and private equity firms globally. Kayla specializes in Employee Relations and Employment Law, and has spoken at global and national conferences for the last ten years. Outside of Employee Relations, Kayla loves building resilient, innovative, brave HR teams that can tackle even the toughest challenges with transparency and a little/lot of humor.When Kayla isn’t working she and her partner are managing all six of their dogs (plus two cats), and she’s forcing her partner to listen to every single Taylor Swift lyric available. Kayla loves to work out at the gym, she’s an avid reader, and she is wildly passionate about serving local Domestic Violence shelters.

Melanie has over ten years of experience across diverse HR disciplines, from LOA/ADA compliance to employee sustainability and performance management. Known for her ability to think beyond traditional HR frameworks, Melanie doesn’t just think outside the box - she questions why the box is even there in the first place. Her strategic insights, coupled with a kind and compassionate heart, make her both approachable and effective.
At the heart of Melanie's work is a deep commitment to creating inclusive and dynamic workplaces where everyone can thrive. She believes that what’s good for employees is inherently good for the company. With a special dedication to championing mental health, advocating for accessible workplaces, and supporting marginalized communities, Melanie is an advocate for creating spaces that cater to people of all abilities.
In her career, Melanie has successfully led initiatives like enhancing onboarding experiences, implementing HR systems, and developing multi-state leave programs. She has also built inclusivity trainings with the goal of helping businesses train their team to be educated advocates for peers and customers with disabilities.
Whether it’s optimizing recruitment processes, boosting employee morale, or navigating complex system integrations, Melanie’s creative and empathetic approach, alongside her radical commitment to the people she supports, makes her an invaluable partner in building a workplace that fits everyone's needs.
Outside of her professional life, Melanie’s creativity extends to her hobbies. She enjoys cuddling her 4-pound toy poodle, Mr. Darcy, along with reading, writing, and illustrating. These passions reflect her belief that creativity and compassion are key to both personal fulfillment and professional success.
